Táng Hóng 唐黌 (zì/hào Qínzhōu 芹洲, fl. Qiánlóng, 清), Kūnshān 崑山 (Jiāngsū) amateur rural physician, not formally trained. Author of KR3ek015 Wàikē xuǎnyào 外科選要 (2 juǎn, Qiánlóng 41 = 1776), a concise didactic distillation of the three great Míng-Qīng surgical compendia (Chén Shígōng’s KR3ek014 Wàikē zhèngzōng, Qí Kūn’s KR3ek011 Wàikē dà chéng, and Wáng Kěntáng’s KR3ek027 Yángyī zhǔnshéng) for use by non-specialists in his locality. He describes himself in his preface as a self-taught village practitioner working from the imperial KR3ek009 Yīzōng jīnjiàn. Should not be confused with the separate, larger Wàikē xuǎnyào in 6 juǎn by Xú Zhēnjiè 徐真銈 (1843). Not in CBDB.
