Ennyo 圓如 (clerical name Kōyū 光融, 1491–1521), eldest son of Jitsunyo 實如 (the ninth Hongan-ji abbot) and grandson of 蓮如 Rennyo, was active in the Hongan-ji during the Eishō / Daiei period (c. 1504–1521). His principal literary contribution is the compilation of the Ofumi anthology KR6t0379 — the standard five-fascicle edition of Rennyo’s pastoral letters — assembled from the manuscripts preserved by his father Jitsunyo and the senior Hongan-ji clergy. He predeceased his father Jitsunyo and never himself held the abbacy; he is nevertheless one of the principal figures in the textual canonization of Rennyo. The DILA authority id is A001240.
