“Mòhán Zhāi Zhǔrén” 墨憨齋主人 (Master of the Ink-Drenched Studio) is the literary pen name (hào 號) of the Míng-dynasty writer and anthologist 馮夢龍 (1574–1646), who used it to sign several of his editorial compilations. In the context of the novel KR4k0261 Xǐng Míng Huā 醒名花, however, the attribution to 墨憨齋主人 is pseudonymous: modern scholarship identifies the actual author as an unknown early-Qīng writer who invoked Féng Mènglóng’s prestigious editorial persona to lend credibility to the text. The scholar Wú Xiǎolíng 吳曉鈴 considered the preface signed by 墨憨齋主人 in that work to be spurious.
See 馮夢龍 for the historical person.
