大朗

Dàlǎng 大朗

Early monastic name of Ǒuyì Zhìxù 蕅益智旭 (1599–1655), used in some of his works. Full monastic form Shì Dàlǎng 釋大朗. See 智旭 for full biographical details.

Particularly relevant in the Kanripo corpus as preface-writer (under the name 大朗) for the Pì xié jí 闢邪集 KR6q0190, for which the principal author is also Zhìxù under his lay name 鍾始聲 — the preface-writer and the author being the same person.
