Jiāng Gāi 姜垓 (1614–1653), Rúxū 如須, hào Hòuān 後菴 and Fèngē shānqiáo 鳳阿山樵; native of Láiyáng 萊陽 (Shāndōng), of the famous Láiyáng Jiāng clan. Younger brother of the Chóngzhēn jìnshì and Southern-Míng Bīngbù shàngshū Jiāng Yuē 姜垓〔elder brother〕(actually his elder brother was Jiāng Yuán 姜垍 the jìnshì and Jiāng Cài 姜埰, both martyrs). Jìnshì of Chóngzhēn 13 / gēngchén (1640). Disciple of 徐汧 of Chángzhōu; in collaboration with his teacher he edited the surviving writings of 凌義渠 as the Líng Zhōngjiègōng jí (KR4e0241) after Líng’s suicide in 1644. He remained loyal to the Míng, joined the southern resistance, and after 1645 lived in retirement in Húzhōu. CBDB 85253.
