Vasumitra 婆須密 (also 世友 Shìyǒu, “Friend-of-the-World”; lifedates uncertain, fl. first–second century CE in Gandhāra), Indic Sarvāstivāda Abhidharma master, traditionally counted among the four great Sarvāstivādin teachers of the Kaniṣka era and named as a senior figure (often “elder”) in the Sarvāstivāda school. He appears in the prefatory genealogy of Chūyào jīng 出曜經 (T212) as the kinsman of 法救 Dharmatrāta, the compiler of the Udānavarga whose work T212 translates. He is the conventional author of the Zūnpó Xū Mì púsà suǒjí lùn 尊婆須蜜菩薩所集論 (T1549).
