Kǒng Yánzhī 孔延之 (1014–1074)
Zì Chángyuán 長源. Native of Xīngàn 新淦 in Línjiāngfǔ (modern Jiāngxī). A descendant of Kǒng Anguó’s branch of the Confucius family. Jìnshì of Bǎoyuán 1 (1038). His career included Shàngshū sīfēng lángzhōng, Zhī Yuèzhōu jūnzhōu shì, and Zhèdōng bīngmǎ qiánxiá (regional commander) in Xīníng 4–5 (1071–72). His major scholarly output is the Huìjī duōyīng zǒngjí 會稽掇英總集 KR4h0028, a twenty-juǎn topographic anthology of poetry and prose on Kuàijī (Shàoxīng), compiled while in office at Yuèzhōu and prefaced Xīníng rénzǐ 5/1 (1072). He died in Xīníng 7 (1074). Father of Kǒng Wénzhòng 孔文仲 (1038–1088), Kǒng Wǔzhòng 孔武仲, and Kǒng Píngzhòng 孔平仲 — the Qīngjiāng sān Kǒng whose joint collection is KR4h0029.
