Mèng Sēn 孟森 (courtesy name Míngkē 鳴珂, 1868–1938) was one of the founders of modern academic Qīng history in China. A native of Jiāngsū 江蘇, he received a traditional education and later engaged with Western historical methods. After the fall of the Qīng dynasty in 1912 he devoted himself to academic historical research at Peking University (Běijīng Dàxué 北京大學), where he taught and produced foundational works in Qīng studies. His major publications include Qīngshǐ jiǎng yì 清史講義 (Lectures on Qīng history) and Míng Qīng shǐ lùncóng 明清史論叢 (Collected studies in Míng-Qīng history).
