Sūn Xù 孫緒 (fl. Hóngzhì), zì Chéngfǔ 誠甫, self-styled Shāxī 沙溪, of Gùchéng 故城 (Jìnánfǔ, BěiZhílì). Hóngzhì 12 / jǐwèi (1499) jìnshì; rose to Tàipúsì qīng. His biéjí the Shāxī jí in 23 juǎn (KR4e0156) contains the unusual Wúyòng xiántán 無用閒談 (Useless Idle Talk) in 6 juǎn — a bǐjì-style critical-prose work explicitly arguing against the Lǐ Mèngyáng QiánQīzǐ archaicist program. Originally co-cut with Mǎ Zhōngxí 馬中錫’s Dōngtián jí; the Sìkù separates them on the xuéwèn bǐlì jiē shèng Zhōngxí (his learning-and-pen-force surpass Zhōngxí) judgement and preserves Sūn while reducing Mǎ to cúnmù (catalogue-only).
