Sòng Rénzōng 宋仁宗 (1010–1063)
Personal name Zhào Zhēn 趙禎. Fourth emperor of the Northern Sòng dynasty, reigning 1022–1063; the patron emperor of the Tiānshèng 天聖-era imperial-medicine standardization. In 1027 (Tiānshèng 5) commissioned 王惟一 Wáng Wéiyī to compile KR3ee056 Tóngrén shūxué zhēnjiǔ tújīng and to cast the two life-size hollow bronze acupuncture mannequins; in 1030 ordered the engraving of the standardized acupoint text on two stone steles at the Dàxiàngguó 大相國 Temple in Kāifēng. His patronage underlies the entire post-Táng standardization of Chinese acupuncture.
