Sòng Bái 宋白 (936–1012; CBDB id 15396), Tàisù 太素, native of Dàmíng 大名. Northern-Sòng jìnshì (957) and Hànlín xuéshì. At the time of the Tàipíng yùlǎn commission he held Zuǒ shíyí 左拾遺 and was one of the fourteen named compilers. He was also co-chief compiler (with Lǐ Fǎng) of the Wényuàn yīnghuá 文苑英華 (KR4i0006), the great literary anthology of the early Sòng. His later career included successive senior offices including Lǐbù shàngshū 禮部尚書. His biography is in Sòng shǐ 439.
