Tú Běnjùn 屠本畯 (fl. 1596 – early 17th c.), Tiánshū 田叔, hào Bīnsǒu 豳叟; native of Yínxiàn 鄞縣 in Sìmíng 四明 / modern Níngbō (Zhèjiāng). Late-Míng official, naturalist, and bǐjì author from a prominent literati family. Entered office through paternal yīn (hereditary privilege); rose to Fújiàn yányùn tóngzhī (Salt-Transport Sub-Prefect for Fújiàn) ca. 1596, during which time he composed the Mǐnzhōng hǎicuò shū 閩中海錯疏 (KR2k0125) — the principal late-Míng monograph on the marine fauna of Fújiàn — at the urging of his father’s friend Yú Yín 余寅. Other works include the Yě cài jiān 野菜箋 (treatise on wild edible vegetables) and various bǐjì. CBDB id 565521.
