Late-Míng official of Chángyuán 長垣 (Dàmíng 大名, Běizhílì); jìnshì of Wànlì 11 / 1583. Served as Bīngbù shàngshū 兵部尚書 in the late Wànlì / Tiānqǐ years and (briefly) Lìbù shàngshū 吏部尚書 under the Chóngzhēn emperor, retiring after factional conflict with the Eunuch faction. He contributed one of the verse-eulogies in the paratextual matter of 龔廷賢 Gōng Tíngxián’s KR3er085 Jìshì quánshū (1616), praising Gōng’s clinical merit and his “complete eight works” (zhùshū bā zhǒng yú 著書八種餘).
