Kāng Wànmín 康萬民 (fl. late Míng, Wànlì 萬曆 era 1573–1620), Wúlì 無沴, native of Wǔgōng 武功 in Shǎnxī, was a grandson of the Míng scholar-poet Kāng Hǎi 康海 (1475–1540). He is known almost solely for his work on the Xuánjī tú 璇璣圖 palindrome attributed to Sū Huì 蘇蕙 of Wǔgōng (a fellow native), KR4b0010 Xuánjī tú shī dú fǎ 璇璣圖詩讀法 — in which he expanded on the SòngYuán monk Qǐzōng 起宗 Dàorén’s exegesis to find 4,206 readable poems and a sub-diagram inside the third diagram. Combined with Qǐzōng’s 3,752 readings, the volume tabulates a total of 7,958 poems readable from the diagram. CBDB lists three Míng homonyms but registers no firm dates; standard dating places this Kāng Wànmín in the late 16th to early 17th century on the strength of Wàn lì-era prints of the Xuánjī tú exegesis tradition.
