Yuán-dynasty Línjì-school 臨濟宗 Yángqí-branch 楊岐派 Chán monk, dharma-heir of Juéān Mèngzhēn 覺菴夢真 (DILA A008313). Yīxián’s principal monastic-regulatory work, the Chánlín bèi yòng qīng guī 禪林備用清規 (KR6q0141, X63 n1250, 10 juan), was compiled incrementally over three decades (1278–1311) based on friends’ manuscripts of earlier rì yòng guǐzé 日用軌則 (“daily-use standards”) materials, including those of Dàchuān 大川 and Xiàowēng 笑翁 chánshī. Self-signature dated Zhìdà 4 xīnhài 至大辛亥 autumn (1311); preface by the lay literatus Yuán Juǎn 袁桷 (1266–1327) dated Tàidìng 2.6 (1325.6).

Yīxián held successive abbacies through the early 14th century: Shuāngjìng 雙徑, Yǒngjiā Tiānníng 永嘉天寧, Yǒngfú 永福, and finally the Lúshān Dōnglín Dàpíng xīnglóng chánsì 廬山東林大平興龍禪寺 (whence the epithet Dōnglín). Exact death date not recorded.
