Zhāng Dēng 張登 ( Dànxiān 誕先, fl. mid–late 17th century), Qīng-period physician of Chángzhōu 長洲 (Sūzhōu, Jiāngsū). Son of 張璐 Zhāng Lù (the renowned early-Qīng physician, author of the Zhāngshì yītōng 張氏醫通); brother of 張倬 Zhāng Zhuō. Author of the Shānghán shé jiàn 傷寒舌鑑 (KR3e0093 WYG / KR3eb054 hxwd, 1 juan, self-prefaced Kāngxī wùshēn 康熙戊申 = 1668 at the Juànyǒngtáng 雋永堂) — the principal Qīng tongue-diagnostic specialist treatise. The work draws on the 137-figure Guān shé xīn fǎ 觀舌心法 of Shēn Dǒuyuán 申斗垣, slimming it down to 120 figures and integrating his father Zhāng Lù’s clinical experience and his own case observations.
