Xú Shīcēng 徐師曾 ( Bólǔ 伯魯, hào Lǔshān 魯山, 1517–1580, 明), Wújiāng 吳江 (Sūzhōu) literatus-philologist; jìnshì of Jiājìng 32 (1553); served as Drafter (zhōngshū) in the Hànlínyuàn and as a censor. Best known for his Wéntǐ míngbiàn 文體明辨 (1573), a comprehensive late-Míng treatise on literary genres that remains the canonical reference on Chinese literary classification, and for his Lǐjì jízhù 禮記集註. Edited and printed the late-Míng Jīngluò quánshū 經絡全書 (KR3ee011, 1576), expanding the manuscript left by his deceased friend Shěn Zǐlù 沈子祿.
