Xú Bó 徐𤊹 (1570–1642; the character 𤊹 is sometimes printed 㷆 or transcribed 勃), zì Wéiqǐ 維起, later changed to Xìnggōng 興公. Native of Mǐnxiàn 閩縣 (modern Fúzhōu), Fújiàn. The most prominent Fúzhōu bibliophile of the late Wànlì / Chóngzhēn period, with a private library Hóng yǔ lóu 紅雨樓 of (by his own account) tens of thousands of juan; his Hóng yǔ lóu jiā cáng shū mù 紅雨樓家藏書目 is an important early-modern private-library catalogue. Close associate of the Cáo Xuéquán 曹學佺 / Xiè Zhàozhé 謝肇淛 / Dèng Yuányuè 鄧原岳 circle of Fúzhōu literati. Compiled the Xúshì bǐ jīng 徐氏筆精 (KR3j0065) and the late-Wàn-lì local-history compendium Min huà 閩畫記 (now lost). His colophon-and-marginal-note practice on books in his collection was already noticed in his lifetime — Zhū Yízūn 朱彝尊 in Jìngzhìjū shī huà notes that “most of his surviving books carry vermilion punctuation and colophons.” CBDB id 129964 (no dates given).
