Sòng-period (or possibly late-Táng) Cí’ēn-school 慈恩 / Fǎxiàng 法相 scholar-monk, otherwise unknown except as the author (述) of the substantial three-fascicle Yogācāra commentary KR6n0101 Bǎifǎ lùn xiǎnyōu chāo 百法論顯幽鈔 (X48n0799) on Vasubandhu’s Bǎifǎ míngmén lùn 百法明門論. The Kanripo catalog tags him 宋; the DILA Buddhist authority records him as 唐, on the basis of his appearance in the Japanese Tendai bibliographic catalog Tōiki dentō mokuroku 東域傳燈目錄 (T2183). His doctrinal vocabulary and his use of the standard Cí’ēn glossary are post-Kuījī / post-Huìzhǎo, so a late-Táng to early-Sòng dating is most defensible; here we follow the catalog meta but flag the uncertainty. No biographical material survives.
