Zhìmíng 志明 (lifedates unknown, fl. late 12th – early 13th c.), Jīn-dynasty 金 Cáo-dòng-school Chán master; zì Bóhūn 伯昏, hào Cuòān 錯庵 and Lèzhēnzǐ 樂真子. Native of Ānzhōu 安州, lay surname Hǎo 郝.
He was tonsured under Jié shǒuzuò 潔首座 and received full ordination at Xiānglínsì 香林寺 under Jìng 淨. He pursued advanced Chán practice under Shèngjìng 勝靜 and Pǔ 普 and attained final realisation under Dōnglín 東林. He served as abbot of Sōngshān Shàolínsì 嵩山少林寺 — the celebrated Cáodòng establishment that since the late Northern Sòng had been one of the principal Chán monasteries of the north and the symbolic seat of the Bodhidharma-lineage.
He compiled the 《禪苑蒙求瑤林》 Chányuàn méngqiú yáolín (KR6r0097, X87 no. 1614, 3 juan), a Chán-school analogue of the secular méngqiú 蒙求 (“introductory inquiry”) learning-handbook tradition: a short-couplet-format compendium of paired references to canonical figures and events, designed for memorisation by Chán novices. The work was subsequently annotated by the Yuán Cáodòng master 德諫 Déjiàn (Xuětáng Déjiàn 雪堂德諫). Per DILA Buddhist Person Authority A000496.
