Wùmíng 悟明
Sobriquet Huìwēng 晦翁 (“the Obscure Elder”). Southern Sòng Chán monk, Dharma heir in the Línjì 臨濟 — Yángqí 楊岐 — Dàhuì 大慧 line. Active in the late twelfth century; exact lifedates not transmitted. Associated with Huìrìsì 慧日寺 and various other Zhèjiāng monasteries.
Compiler of the Liándēng huìyào 聯燈會要 (KR6q0008), 30 juan, completed 1183 (Chúnxī 10) — the fourth of the five canonical Sòng Chán lamp records and the principal historiographical vehicle through which the Dàhuì Zōnggǎo line entered the consolidated Chán genealogical record.
