Huìbiàn 慧辯
Northern-Sòng Yúnménzōng 雲門宗 Chán master, imperial title Wújì dàshī 無際大師. Principal dharma-heir of 宗本 Huìlín Yuánzhào Zōngběn (1020–1100); abbot of Sūzhōu Língyánshān Xiùfēngsì 靈巖山秀峰寺. Also written 惠辯 in variant sources. Recorded (lù 錄) the supplementary Huìlín Zōngběn chánshī biélù 慧林宗本禪師別錄 (KR6q0380; X73 n1450), gathering his master’s previously-unpublished shàngtáng and jìsòng material including the imperial 1085 Fúníngdiàn session.
