Yīng Bǎoshí 應寶時 (1825–1890, zì Mǐnzhāi 敏齋), late-Qīng official from Yǒngkāng 永康, Zhèjiāng. Dàoguāng 24 jǔrén 舉人 (1844). He held a series of significant administrative posts in the Jiāngnán region during the Tóngzhì and Guāngxù eras, including Sūzhōu zhīfǔ 知府, Shànghǎi dàotái 道台 (during the post-Taiping reconstruction), and Jiāngsū àncháshǐ 按察使. In Shànghǎi he was active in foreign-affairs negotiation in the wake of the Western-power treaty arrangements and in the rebuilding of the local civilian administration.
His 1868 preface to KR3em023 Jiāoshì hóukē zhěnmì 焦氏喉科枕秘 records the textual transmission of that work via Jīn Bǎosān 金保三 of Wúzhōng and Sūn Yúnzhāi 孫雲齋, and stands as one of the better-attested points of contact between high-ranking late-Qīng Jiāngnán officialdom and the publication economy of late-imperial medical books.
