Zēng Wéndiàn 曾文辿 (also written 曾文遄 Zēng Wénchuán)
Late-Tang / Five-Dynasties geomantic specialist; the principal disciple of Yáng Yúnsōng (楊筠松). Per the Sìkù 提要 of KR3g0022 Qīngnáng xù: native of Gànshuǐ 贛水 (Jiāngxī); his father Qiúyǐ 求己 had earlier fled to Jiāngnán under the Five Dynasties, where the Jiézhì (Provincial Governor) Lǐ sīkōng recruited him to administer the Nánkāng military matters; Zēng Wéndiàn accordingly obtained Yáng Yúnsōng’s geomantic technique. Later (per the 提要) the technique was transmitted to Chén Tuán 陳摶 — providing the institutional bridge between the Yángshì geomantic school and the Northern-Sòng xiāntiān cosmological tradition.
His sole Sìkù-preserved work is the Qīngnáng xù 青囊序 (KR3g0022) — the geomantic-disciple’s preface-and-exposition of Yáng Yúnsōng’s KR3g0023 Qīngnáng àoyǔ.
