Zēng Jí 曾極 (d. 1221, zì Jǐngjiàn 景建), of Línchuān 臨川 in Fǔzhōu 撫州 (modern Jiāngxī), a bùyī 布衣 commoner who never held office. Late-Southern-Sòng anti-appeasement poet associated with the Liú Guò 劉過 / Xīn Qìjí 辛棄疾 circle. Inscribed an anti-Shǐ Míyuǎn 史彌遠 poem on a palace dragon-screen at Jīnlíng, offending the chief-councillor; subsequently implicated in the Jiānghú jí 江湖集 literary-political prosecution and banished to Dàozhōu 道州, where he died in 1221.
