Zhū Rǔnán 朱汝南

Míng-loyalist lay Buddhist practitioner (jūshì 居士) associated with the teaching-circle of Lóngguāng Dáfū Yùnshàng 龍光達夫蘊上. After the 1644 dynastic collapse he retired to Chán practice and survived “thirty-some years of Chán study and Way-seeking” before his death. Lifedates unrecorded; active in Húběi / Èzhōu 鄂州 region in the second half of the 17th century.
