Zhū Chén 朱臣 (zì Shízuǒ 時佐), Míng-period official of Jǐnán 濟南 (Shāndōng), xiāngjìnshì 鄉進士 (provincial graduate). Served as Níngguó tōngshǒu 寧國通守 (deputy prefect of Níngguó, Ānhuī) in the late Hóngzhì era. Rediscovered and brought into print the anonymous Sòng paediatric encyclopaedia Xiǎoér wèishēng zǒngwēi lùnfāng 小兒衛生總微論方 (KR3ej017) in 1489 with a preface by his Jǐnán fellow-townsman Lǐ Yánshòu 李延壽. Through misinterpretation of his role as publisher, later Míng bibliography (e.g. the Fànshì shūmù) wrongly attributed the original Sòng work to Zhū Chén as author.
