Zhū Dí

A Northern-Sòng official, identified in his own preface to Huìsī’s Dàshèng zhǐguān fǎmén (KR6d0152) as LiǎngZhèlù quànnóngshǐ jiān tídiǎn xíngyù gōngshì cháofèng dàfū xíng shàngshū dùzhī yuánwàiláng hùjūn jièzǐ 兩浙路勸農使兼提點刑獄公事朝奉大夫行尚書度支員外郎護軍借紫 (“Liǎng-Zhè Region Agricultural-Promotion Commissioner, Concurrent Inspector-of-Judicial-Affairs, Court-Audience Senior Grandee, Acting Vice-Director of the Ministry of Revenue, Protector-of-the-Army, Permitted-Purple”). The preface, a Sòng official’s encomium of Huìsī’s foundational meditation manual, is evidence for the work’s institutional standing in the Northern-Sòng official-Buddhist establishment.
