Lǐ Kuāngyì 李匡乂 (late Táng, fl. c. 860–896 per CBDB; Jì Wēng 濟翁), of the 李 imperial clan. The variant transmissions of his name (Kuāngyì 匡乂 / Kuāngwén 匡文 / Kuāngyì 匡義 / Zhèngwén 正文 / 李乂) all derive from the Sòng Tàizǔ 太祖 taboo on the Kuāng 匡 character: Sòng prints either substituted his (Jì Wēng), or replaced 匡 with 正, or removed strokes from the personal name (匡乂 → 乂, hence “Lǐ Yì” 李乂). The standard Southern-Sòng Dúshū zhì 讀書志 reading is Kuāngyì 匡乂; the Sìkù editors follow it. The same person is recorded in the Xīn Táng shū · Yìwén zhì under Lǐ Kuāngwén with the office Zōngzhèng shàoqīng 宗正少卿 (Vice Director of the Imperial Clan Court) under Zhāozōng 昭宗 (r. 888–904), and as the author of a LiǎngHàn zhì Táng niánjì 兩漢至唐年紀 in 1 juan. The CBDB id 92898 is registered under the Kuāngwén 匡文 form. (Two further CBDB hits for Lǐ Kuāngyì 李匡義 — id 33497 [Sòng-era person from Rénmíng dàcídiǎn] and id 163287 [a YuánPíng new-epitaph entry] — are unrelated homonyms.)

Self-statements within KR3j0026 Zīxiá jí 資暇集 identify Lǐ as a grand-nephew (zàicóngshūwēng 再從叔翁) of Lǐ Miǎn 李勉 (717–788, the great late-Xuán-zōng-and-Dài-zōng-era statesman of the Lǐ-clan branch descended from Zhèngwáng Yuányì 鄭王元懿) and as a clansman of Lǐ Hàn 李瀚 (the Méngqiú 蒙求 author). His one statement of office — shǒu Nánzhāng 守南漳 — names a service post (perhaps cìshǐ of Nánzhāngxiàn in Xiāngyáng), not his terminal office. The Zōngzhèng shàoqīng under Zhāozōng noted in the Yìwén zhì must be later. CBDB id 92898.

Author of KR3j0026 Zīxiá jí 資暇集 (Sìkù Zájiā · Zákǎo zhī shǔ), a 3-juan late-Táng kǎozhèng miscellany — one of the substantive pre-Sòng monuments of the kǎozhèng tradition, regularly cited and rebutted by Northern-Sòng biji-writers (Huáng Bósī, Huáng Cháoyīng, Hú Zǎi, Wáng Mào).
