Lǐ Jiànzhōng 李建中, elder son of the great pharmacologist Lǐ Shízhēn 李時珍, fl. late 16th century. He assisted his father in the editorial work on the Běncǎo gāngmù 本草綱目 (KR3ec025) and is named in the editorial colophon as a co-collator. After his father’s death (1593) he and his younger brother Lǐ Jiànyuán 李建元 presented the work to the imperial court (1596). No CBDB entry; biographical details are sparse, available only through references in the Gāngmù paratext and Qízhōu local gazetteers.
