Lǐ Míngfù 李明復

Also called Lǐ Yú 李俞. Style name Bóyǒng 伯勇. Native of Héyáng 合陽 (modern Shǎnxī). Active in the Jiādìng 嘉定 era (1208–1224) of Sòng Níngzōng. Career details otherwise unrecoverable except for his enrolment as a Tàixué student (shàngshè 上舍 grade) and a brief biographical mention in Wèi Liǎowēng 魏了翁’s preface to his Chūnqiū jí yì.

His one surviving work is the Chūnqiū jí yì 春秋集義 (KR1e0047) — the most ambitious Southern-Sòng Dàoxué-school Chūnqiū compilation, in 50 juan with a separate Gāng lǐng 綱領 in 3 juan. The work assembles the Chūnqiū views of the Dàoxué lineage from Zhōu Dūnyí through the Chéng brothers and Zhāng Zǎi, with eclectic supplements from Yáng Shí, Xiè Shī, Hú Ānguó, Zhū Xī, and Lǚ Zǔqiān. Wèi Liǎowēng’s preface explicitly endorses the work, saying Lǐ “anticipated my heart” — Wèi having himself begun a Dàoxué Chūnqiū compilation that he abandoned in favour of Lǐ’s.

Older bibliographic records (Sòng shǐ yìwén zhì) erroneously list a parallel “Wáng Mèngyīng 王夢應 Chūnqiū jí yì in 50 juan” alongside Lǐ’s. The SKQS tíyào on KR1e0047 corrects this: Wáng Mèngyīng was Lǐ’s publisher (a junior Bāchuān scholar mentioned in the title-page), not a separate author.

CBDB id 41092 records the name without lifedates.
