Lǐ Zhì 李贄 (1527–1602), Hóng fǔ 宏甫, hào Zhuó wú 卓吾, was a late-Míng iconoclastic philosopher and literary figure — a radical thinker in the Tài zhōu 泰州 left-wing school of Yáng míng 陽明 learning, celebrated for his critical defense of human desire (tóng xīn shuō 童心說 “theory of the childlike heart-mind”), his rejection of Confucian orthodoxy, and his scandalous defense of heterodox positions. Imprisoned and driven to suicide in 1602. Author of KR5h0042 Yì yīn shàng xià jīng 易因上下經 — his commentary on the Yì jīng.
