Late-Southern-Sòng / early-Yuán Daoist commentator known only from his authorship of Yuánshǐ wúliàng dùrén shàngpǐn miàojīng zhù 元始無量度人上品妙經註 (DZ 88), styled “Perfected of Green Origin from the Eastern Sea” — Dōnghǎi 東海 being a district of Huáiān prefecture 淮安府 (Jiāngsū 江蘇). His association with the nearby Qīnghé 清河 district (created c. 1270) through his disciple Qīnghé lǎorén supplies the only geographical-chronological anchor for the author; Judith Boltz, A Survey of Taoist Literature (1987), 328 n. 572, dates him accordingly to the late thirteenth century. No CBDB record exists. His commentary is distinctive for its systematic body-visualisation interpretation of the Dùrén jīng, in which every element of the scripture is reconstructed as a component of the internal body; the commentary remains an important source for the Yuán inner-alchemical reception of the Dùrén jīng.
