Lín Tóng 林侗 (1627–1714), zì Tóngrén 同人, hào Láizhāi 來齋, of Hóuguān 侯官 (modern Fúzhōu, Fújiàn), was an early-Qing jīnshí connoisseur. He travelled widely seeking rubbings: he obtained Hàn Gānquángōng 甘泉宮 roof-tiles in Chúnhuàshān 淳化山; he travelled with rubbing-takers to the Tang Zhāolíng (Tài Zōng’s tomb) and obtained 16 stelae from the péizàng (subordinate tombs) starting with that of Yīnggōng Lǐ Jì 李勣. He was contemporarily reckoned a “hàoshì one (a man of unusual interest in things)“. His one major work, the Láizhāi jīnshí kè kǎolüè 來齋金石刻考略 KR2n0040 in 3 juan (Zinbun gives 3 juan; catalog meta also 3 卷), is a chronologically arranged register of stelae (6 XiàShāngZhōu, 19 QínHàn, 1 Wèi, 1 Wú, 5 Jìn, 1 Liáng, 3 HòuWèi, 1 BěiQí, 2 HòuZhōu, 8 Suí, 173 Tang) — total 219+ pieces — based on personal observation, with critical notes drawing on Gù Yánwǔ’s Jīnshí wénzì jì KR2n0037 and supplementing with his own judgements. CBDB 82531 confirms 1627–1714.
