Liáng Chǔ 梁儲 (1451–1527), zì Shūhòu 叔厚, hào Hòuzhāi 厚齋, in old age Yùzhōu 鬱洲, shì Wénkāng 文康, native of Shùndé 順德 (Guǎngzhōu, Guǎngdōng). Chénghuà 14 / wùxū (1478) jìnshì; rose to Huágài diàn dàxuéshì; through three reigns (Xiàozōng / Wǔzōng / Shìzōng) served in the Inner Cabinet. With Yáng Tínghé 楊廷和 in the late Zhèngdé era he held the cabinet against the dissolution of the Wǔzōng court — repeatedly memorialising against Wǔzōng’s self-enfeoffment as Zhènguógōng 鎮國公, against the gift of Shǎnzhōng pastureland to Prince Qín, and pleading at least 8 or 9 times for the emperor’s return from his northern pleasure-tours. Míngshǐ main biography. Huáng Zuǒ 黃佐 wrote the preface for the Yùzhōu jí recension; the expanded Yùzhōu yígǎo in 10 juǎn (KR4e0134) was prepared by Liáng’s grandson Liáng Zī 梁孜 (zhōngshū shèrén), who from the Inner Cabinet records transcribed Liáng’s memorials and incorporated them.
