Yáng Gōngyuǎn 楊公遠 (1228 — after 1286), Shūmíng 叔明, native of Shèxiàn 歙縣 in Huīzhōu 徽州 (Ānhuī). An amateur painter and minor literary figure of the late-Sòng / early-Yuán Huīzhōu poetic network, attached to Fāng Huí 方回 and Wú Lónghàn 吳龍翰 (whose 1270 preface and 1285 postscript respectively are preserved in this collection). Did not formally take Yuán office after the Sòng’s fall in 1276 but maintained extensive social-poetic contact with Yuán-period officials; the Sìkù editors distinguish him from the stricter yímín like Zhōu Mì on the basis of his apparent equanimity at the 1279 Yáishān catastrophe and his presentation poems to Yuán administrators. His sole surviving work is the Yěqù yǒushēng huà KR4d0429 in two juàn (originally one juàn, the second posthumously supplemented). CBDB person 35322.
