Yáng Jìshèng 楊繼盛 (1516–1555), Zhòngfāng 仲芳, hào Jiāoshān 椒山, posthumous shì Zhōngmǐn 忠愍, of Róngchéng 容城 (Bǎodìng, Zhílì). Took the jìnshì in Jiājìng 26 (1547); office reached Bīngbù wǔxuǎn sī yuánwài láng. The canonical Míng zhōngmǐn (loyal-and-aggrieved) figure: his 1553 Hé Yán Sōng shū (Impeaching Yán Sōng) is the most famous single anti–Yán Sōng document of the Míng; he was framed by Yán’s faction and qìshì (executed in public) with Zhāng Jīng in 1555. Posthumously Tàicháng sī qīng and given the shì Zhōngmǐn. His Yáng Zhōngmǐn jí KR4e0200 preserves both his major memorials (the Lùn mǎshì against the Āndā Mongol horse-market and the Hé Yán Sōng shū) and a self-composed niánpǔ, with appended yízhǔ composed the night before execution.
