Yuè Shǐ (930–1007; zì Zhèngzǐ 正子, also given as Zǐzhèng 子正), a native of Yízhōu 宜州 (modern Yízhōu, Jiāngxī, sometimes Línchuān 臨川), was a transitional Wǔdài–Sòng official and writer. He served the Southern Táng before submitting to the Sòng in 975; in the early TàipíngXīngguó era he passed the jìnshì and entered Sòng service, rising to Tàicháng bóshì (erudite of the Court of Imperial Sacrifices) and Zhí shǐguǎn (erudite of the Office of Historiography). He is best known as the compiler of the Tàipíng huányǔ jì KR2k0004, the first comprehensive Sòng empire-wide gazetteer; he was also a prolific compiler of biographical and anecdotal works, including the Guǎng zhuóyì jì 廣卓異記, the Yáng tàizhēn wàizhuàn 楊太眞外傳, and many others.
