Ōuyáng Mín (fl. ca. 1111–1121), the named author of the late Northern Sòng comprehensive gazetteer Yúdì guǎngjì KR2k0006, is among the most poorly attested figures in the imperial-gazetteer tradition. Cháo Gōngwǔ’s 晁公武 Jùnzhāi dúshū zhì (juan 2B) denied that any such person existed and accused the publisher of having appended a fictitious name to help the book sell (tè jiǎ míng yǐ xíng qí shū 特假名以行其書). Chén Zhènsūn’s 陳振孫 Shūlù jiětí rebutted this by linking him generationally to Ōuyáng Xiū 歐陽修 — Mín’s name uses the xīn 心 element shared by Xiū’s grand-nephews — and dated the work to the Zhènghé era (1111–1117). The author’s own preface calls him a man of Guǎnglíng 廣陵, which is at variance with Xiū’s Lúlíng 廬陵 native place; the Sìkù editors tentatively suggested a copyist’s confusion between guǎng 廣 and 廬 as the explanation. CBDB has only a fl-bracket placeholder for him (id 697466). Beyond the Yúdì guǎngjì, no other works are attributed to him.
