Máo Páng 毛滂 (c. 1056–c. 1124), zì Zémín 澤民, hào Dōngtáng jūshì 東堂居士, of Qúzhōu 衢州 Jiāngshān 江山 (Zhèjiāng). Held office to Cíbù yuánwài láng and Zhī Xiùzhōu. Started his career as fǎcáo (legal-officer) of Hángzhōu under Sū Shì 蘇軾 (during Yuányòu — Sū’s second Hángzhōu tenure); his lyric Xīfēnfēi 惜分飛 caught Sū Shì’s eye, leading to a delay-and-recall. Subsequently allied with Cài Jīng 蔡京 / Cài Biàn 蔡卞 / Zēng Bù 曾布 — Cài Tāo’s Tiěwéishān cóngtán and Wáng Míngqīng’s Huīzhǔlù both record his political shifts and personal xuànbó (frivolous-and-shifting) character. Author of Dōngtáng jí 東堂集 KR4d0126 originally in 6 juǎn + poetry 4 + letters 1 + lyrics 2 (per Shūlù jiětí); Sìkù reconstruction is 10 juǎn. The Dōngtáng cí 東堂詞 (lyrics) circulates separately in Máo Jìn’s Liùshíjiā cí.
