Mizuhashiri Yoshikoto 水走嘉言 (sinicized Shuǐzǒu Jiāyán, fl. early 19th c., late Edo) was a Japanese physician of Kawachi Hirao-ka 河陽平岡 (Hirao village in Kawachi province, modern Ōsaka prefecture) who compiled the Fāngjì cídiǎn 方劑辭典 (KR3ed094) — a comprehensive recipe-dictionary covering Chinese formulas from the Hàn (Zhāng Zhòngjǐng, “Chángshā”) through the MíngQīng period, arranged by stroke-count for ease of reference. The preface is dated Bunka 5 bóchén 戊辰 = 1808. The work documents Mizuhashiri’s clinical activity during the floods of rénxū 壬戌 (1802) and dīngmǎo 丁卯 (1807), when he travelled distributing medicines to thousands of refugees. Sparse biographical information beyond the preface.
