Southern-Sòng -writer (fl. Chúnxī, c. 1170–1200); Yuēzhī 約之, hào Kèzhāi 克齋, of Wúxīng 吳興 but long-resident in Lìyáng 溧陽 (Chángzhōu). Per Húzhōu fǔzhì and Lìyáng xiànzhì, held magistracies including Wúhúxiàn 蕪湖, Prefect of Héngzhōu 衡州, and Tíjǔ Jiāngdōng cháyán 提舉江東茶鹽; reached Cháosàn dàifū 朝散大夫 by Chúnxī. His sole surviving work is the Kèzhāi cí KR4j0038 in one juǎn, preserving around 43 in the Máo Jìn 毛晉 cutting; the Sìkù compilers correct the gazetteer-form Chōngzhāi 充齋 (a graphic error for Kèzhāi 克齋). Several in the collection — tàishǒu-, shǐjūn-, and xiánhóu-addressed — and the autobiographical Niàn nú jiāo · Xún yōu lǎn shèng indicate he once held a capital court post, though the topical subtitles have been lost. Style: “restrained and graceful, of considerable taste” (Sìkù tíyào).
