法悟 Fǎwù (“Dharma-awakening”) was a Khitan Liáo 遼 dynasty Chinese Buddhist scholastic, fl. late eleventh century — active during the reign of Liáo Dàozōng 道宗 (Tiānyòu emperor, r. 1055–1101). He is known principally as the author of the Shì Móhēyǎn lùn zànxuán shū 釋摩訶衍論贊玄疏 (KR6o0087) — a five-juǎn sub-commentary on the [[KR6o0084|Shì Móhēyǎn lùn 釋摩訶衍論]] composed at imperial command and prefaced by the senior Khitan official Yēlǜ Xiàojié 耶律孝傑. His work represents the high point of Liáo Buddhist scholasticism on the Shì Móhēyǎn lùn and was textually authoritative for subsequent Korean Goryeo and early Japanese Shingon readings. He is otherwise poorly attested in standard biographical sources, reflecting the general gap in the Buddhist biographical record for the Khitan-Liáo period; no firm dates are available.
