Wáng Tǎn 王坦, Jítú 吉途. Native of Nántōngzhōu 南通州 (modern Nántōng, Jiāngsū). Mid-Qīng qín music-theorist. Fl. ca. 1730–1755 — his sole surviving work, the Qín zhǐ 琴旨 (KR1i0022) in 2 juàn, is dependent on the imperial Lǜlǚ zhèngyì (presented 1714) and was current by the time of the Sìkù compilation.

CBDB returns multiple homonymous Wáng Tǎns but none of them confidently match — none have Nántōngzhōu provenance and none give the Jítú. CBDB id is therefore left blank, with the conventional flourishing-period assignment based on the work’s textual dependence.
