Wáng Ānzhōng 王安中 (1075–1134), zì Lǚdào 履道, hào Chūliáo 初寮, of Zhōngshān 中山 Qūyáng 曲陽 (Héběi). Jìnshì. Reached Shàngshū zuǒchéng (Vice-Chancellor of the Imperial Secretariat); out as Zhī Yānshānfǔ (Prefect of Yānshānfǔ — the recovered, briefly-held northern territory); appointed Dàmíng yǐn jiān Běijīng liúshǒu sī gōngshì (Prefect of Dàmíng concurrently controlling the Northern-Capital duties). Jìngkāng 1 (1126): demoted, settled at Xiàngzhōu 象州 (Guǎngxī). Shàoxīng 1 (1131): restored Zuǒ zhōngdàfū; died. Studied with Sū Shì 蘇軾 蘇軾 in youth at Dìngwǔ (Sū’s late-life Yánzhōu posting); when Sū left, completed his apprenticeship under Cháo Yuèzhī 晁說之 晁說之, who was Wújíxiàn magistrate. The hào Chūliáo (initial-shop / opening-studio) reflects Cháo’s exhortation that learning must be careful at the start.
Politically compromised: per Cài Tāo’s Tiěwéishān cóngtán, advanced through ingratiating service to the eunuch Liáng Shīchéng 梁師成; per Yòulǎo Chūnqiū, also through Cài Yōu 蔡攸’s introduction; supported the failed Yānshān (recovery-of-Yān) policy. Wrote a bǎiyùn (hundred-rhyme) poem for Huīzōng’s Ruìmódiàn banquet, which the emperor ordered written-large on the palace screen. Author of Chūliáo jí 初寮集 KR4d0139 — biography records 76 juǎn; Sìkù reconstruction is 8 juǎn. Biography: Sòng shǐ j. 352. Lifedates 1075–1134 confirmed.
