Sòng-era Daoist compiler, otherwise unknown. Compiler (集) of [[KR5a0232|DZ 231 Zhēnyī jīndān jué]] (with appended Tāixī jiéyào 胎息節要), a short nèidān 內丹 manual that traces the imagined transmission of the ZhōngLǚ teaching from Zhōnglí Quán 鍾離權 to Lǚ Dòngbīn 呂洞賓 to Shī Jiānwú 施肩吾. The work itself is spurious — it is a Northern-Sòng-era pseudepigraph patterned on the contemporary ZhōngLǚ literature (cf. [[KR5c1017|DZ 1017 Dàoshū]] 19.9a ff.) — but Wáng Cháng’s role appears to be that of editor rather than fabricator. He is not otherwise documented in CBDB or in the standard Daoist hagiographies, and his relationship to other historical Wáng Chángs (homonyms) cannot be securely established.
