Wáng Wénqīng 王文清
Zì Tíngjiàn 廷鑑. Native of Níngxiāng 寧鄉 (Húnán). Jìnshì of Yōngzhèng 2 (1724). Lifedates 1688–1779.
A long-serving Hànlín scholar of the Yōngzhèng–Qiánlóng era. Twice held the directorship of the Yuèlù 嶽麓 Academy in Húnán (1738–1746 and 1762–1773), making him one of the most influential Húnán-school educators of the Qiánlóng period. His Yuèlù shūyuàn xuéguī 嶽麓書院學規 became a standard model for academy regulation.
As a Wǔyīngdiàn editor, Wáng Wénqīng was one of the kǎozhèng compilers for the Xīn Wǔdài shǐ (KR2a0030) in the Sìkù quánshū, working alongside 孫人龍. His scholarly works include the Zhōulǐ huì zhèng 周禮會箋 and the Yī Hé jīng yì 易河經疑.
