Wáng Zhí 王植 (1682–1767), Huáisān 槐三, hào Zhuàngsī 戇思, was a mid-Qīng official and Confucian commentator. Native of Shēnzhōu 深州 (Zhílì 直隸, modern Héběi). Jìnshì of Kāngxī 60 (1721); held a series of provincial posts including County Magistrate of Pójiāng 婆江 in Yúnnán. His scholarly output is concentrated in Lǐxué commentary: Huángjí jīngshì jiě 皇極經世解 (commentary on Shào Yōng’s Huángjí jīngshì); Zhèng méng chū yì 正蒙初義 (KR3a0029, the comprehensive collected-commentary edition of the Zhèng méng); and others. The Zhèng méng chū yì is the principal mid-Qīng integration of Sòng / Yuán / Míng / Qīng commentary on Zhāng Zǎi’s Zhèng méng, drawing on Gāo Pānlóng 高攀龍, Xú Défū 徐德夫, Rǎn Jìnzǔ 冉覲祖, Lǐ Guāngdì 李光地, and Zhāng Bóxíng 張伯行 (with Wáng’s note that the Zhāng Bóxíng commentary is in fact a forgery by another, on Zhāng’s own oral testimony to Wáng). CBDB id 69379, dates 1682–1767.
