Early-Qīng Bannerman administrator and connoisseur of painting; Xīngjù 星聚. Member of the Hànjūn 漢軍 Xiānghóngqí 鑲紅旗 (Bordered-Red Banner of the Chinese Martial). His self-preface identifies his origin as SānHán 三韓, a Liáodōng / Yǒngníng bannerman seat. Rose through the provincial judicial circuit to Húguǎng ànchá shǐ 湖廣按察使 (Provincial Judicial Commissioner of Húguǎng); his administrative reputation as a lìcái 吏才 is noted in Chén Dǐng’s 陳鼎 Liúxī wàizhuàn. Author of KR3h0065 Huìshì bèikǎo 繪事備考 (1691), an 8-(in fact 10-)juàn chronological dictionary of Chinese painters from the Yellow Emperor through the early Míng, completed during his Húguǎng tenure.
