Wáng Jìxiān 王繼先 (1098–1181, CBDB 38418), Southern Sòng imperial physician and the chief compiler of the Shàoxīng jiàodìng jīngshǐ zhènglèi bèijí běncǎo 紹興校定經史證類備急本草 (KR3ec014) of 1159 — also called Shàoxīng běncǎo 紹興本草 — the third of the Sòng imperial Zhènglèi recensions, completed under Gāozōng. He served as Hànlín yìguān 翰林醫官 and rose to extraordinary court favour under Gāozōng, whom he treated personally. He is recorded as having received the title of Guānglù dàfū 光祿大夫.

Wáng Jìxiān fell from favour in 1161 when he was impeached by remonstrance officials and demoted; he died in exile in 1181. His Shàoxīng běncǎo survives only in fragmentary Japanese manuscripts (the so-called Shàoxīng zhènglèi běncǎo 紹興校定經史證類備急本草 manuscript at the Imperial Household Library, Tōkyō). Biography: 《宋史》 j.470 (佞幸傳). CBDB also lists two further Wáng Jìxiān entries (262570, 272749) without dates that are likely either the same person or unrelated homonyms.
